The ship came out of dry dock at the end of 2025

Silver Muse spent the autumn of 2025 at the Palermo yard, and came out different. Capacity rose from 596 to 632 guests, which never happens by accident: six large suites on deck 9 were replaced by twelve smaller ones. The number of Silver Suites fell from thirty-four to eight.

That fact has a practical consequence. A traveller who loved a Silver Suite on this ship before 2025 will find them markedly scarcer now. A traveller looking for a mid-sized suite will find one more easily. This kind of detail never appears in a brochure.

The refit also added the destination-cooking programme, a pickleball court, a golf simulator and a redrawn pool deck.

The hull

Two hundred and thirteen metres, 40,700 gross tons, 632 guests and 415 crew. About one crew member for every one and a half guests. Eight dining venues, which is a great many for a ship this size.

About ninety-six per cent of suites have a private veranda. The Vista categories offer a large picture window rather than a balcony. The distinction is worth reading before booking, because it shows every morning.

The rest of the fleet

Silver Moon and Silver Dawn are its sisters, carrying 596 guests each rather than 632. Silver Ray belongs to a newer and larger class. Silver Spirit is the only ship in the fleet to have been lengthened.

What the package covers, and the 2025 change

Aboard, the phrase "all-inclusive" holds up. Gratuities are included. Wines and spirits are included, poured without counting. Wi-Fi is included in every suite. Butler service comes with the suite whatever its category, which is rare and genuinely sets this line apart.

The important change dates from 11 September 2025: the fare that included door-to-door air travel was withdrawn. The air ticket is no longer included by default, nor are airport transfers. Any brochure older than that date is wrong on this point, and the difference shows when you pay.

Excursions depend on the fare chosen and the type of cruise. On expeditions, landings and Zodiac outings are included at the higher fare. On classic cruises, expect an excursion credit or an à la carte purchase. Have it confirmed which applies to your departure.

Aboard

There is no children's club, no childcare and no youth programme. Infants under six months are not accepted, and children under five cannot ride a Zodiac on the expedition ships. A minor stays in the suite of an adult aged twenty-one or over, or in an adjoining suite.

The line has been wholly owned by Royal Caribbean Group since July 2020. Several databases still list the founding family as a co-owner: that is out of date.

Booking from Quebec

The port of embarkation is reached by air, and since 11 September 2025 that ticket is no longer included in the cruise fare. It has become the first thing to arrange rather than the last. Arrive the day before: a ship does not wait for a delayed flight.

Voyages AquaTerra holds a licence from Quebec's Office de la protection du consommateur. Your payments move through the trust account required by law and the Compensation Fund for Customers of Travel Agents covers your file.

Frequently Asked Questions

Six hundred and thirty-two since the refit at the end of 2025, against 596 before. The crew numbers 415, about one crew member for every one and a half guests.
Capacity rose, six large suites on deck 9 were replaced by twelve smaller ones, and the number of Silver Suites fell from thirty-four to eight. The refit also added a destination-cooking programme, a pickleball court and a golf simulator.
Markedly fewer. Silver Suites went from thirty-four to eight. A traveller set on that category on this particular ship should book earlier than before, or look at a sister.
It depends on the hull. Ships delivered in the last fifteen years give one throughout. The older ones do not: their entry category has a large window, comfortable enough but not the same thing in mild weather.
None. The cruise fare covers gratuities aboard, drinks and connectivity. The expense that surprises returning guests lies elsewhere: since 11 September 2025 the air ticket is no longer included.
It no longer is. On 11 September 2025 the line withdrew the fare that carried door-to-door flights. Air tickets and airport transfers are now bought separately, which changes how a file is assembled.
No, and that is a particularity of this line. The butler comes with the suite whatever the category. Most competitors reserve it for the upper grades.
Eight dining venues, which is considerable for a ship of 632 guests. The 2025 refit added a kitchen and a bar devoted to the cooking of the destinations visited.
Our inventory measured 90 departure dates on 26 August 2026, counted on the ship's public page. The figure covers published departures.
In 2017, at the Fincantieri yard at Sestri Ponente near Genoa. It is the lead ship of its class, followed by two sisters.
There is no facility designed for one: no teen club, no youth programme. A teenager curious about natural history may love an expedition; a teenager looking for people their own age will be bored.
No, where the expedition fare applies: they are part of the product and the expedition team runs them. On a classic cruise, that kind of outing belongs to the excursion catalogue.
Royal Caribbean Group, outright since July 2020, after taking a majority stake in 2018. Several third-party databases still name the founding family: that information is out of date.
Yes, in every suite. As everywhere at sea, speed depends on the ship's position and satellite coverage, but the access itself is part of the package.
It steps in where the Travel Agents Act provides, notably the failure of a supplier or an agency. The cover has defined limits and does not replace travel insurance. Ask your advisor to walk you through them before you pay a deposit.
