Where the name comes from

The line was born in 1992 as Radisson Seven Seas Cruises — from the Carlson Group, owner of the Radisson hotels — and was renamed Regent Seven Seas Cruises in 2006. It passed to Apollo in 2008, then to Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings in 2014 with the purchase of Prestige Cruise Holdings. Regent, Oceania and Norwegian therefore belong to the same group.
