Oceania: 11 entries in our inventory for 10 ships, and 595 departures

Start with a fault that is ours. Our inventory holds eleven Oceania entries but ten ships: Oceania Sonata appears twice, one entry carrying 88 records and the other none. That is a duplicate on our side, flagged for correction, not two ships. We would rather tell you here than let you click through to an empty page.

What we carry, measured

Eleven entries, 595 distinct departures across 451 dates and 870 routes, from 9 July 2026 to 5 May 2029. Oceania Allura leads with 158 records, ahead of Oceania Riviera with 144 and Oceania Vista with 142. At the other end, Oceania Regatta carries only 4: that says nothing about the ship, only about our inventory.

The owner, and why it matters

Oceania belongs to Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, which bought its parent, Prestige Cruise Holdings, in September 2014. In other words: Oceania, Regent Seven Seas and Norwegian are three brands of one company, and three pages on this site for one owner. It does not make the products interchangeable — they are not at all — but it explains shared policies, and it is worth knowing when you compare.

What really sets this house apart

The table. It was founded in 2002 by Frank Del Rio, Bob Binder and Joe Watters, and appointed chef Jacques Pépin culinary director as early as 2003. In practice, aboard: more restaurants for a ship this size, and fewer shows. If you pick a cruise for what happens in the evening, look elsewhere. The sizes vary more than people expect, too: four Regatta-class ships carry about 824 guests, Marina and Riviera about 1,250, Vista and Allura about 1,200.

A caution about Oceania Aurelia

That ship carries 60 records with us. We have no verified public source on her delivery date and we will not give one. If you are considering booking her, have your advisor confirm the departure is actually sold by the line. And we will not say what the fare covers: ask for the written list of the exact departure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Eleven entries in our inventory — 11 exactly — and 595 distinct departures across 451 dates and 870 routes, from 9 July 2026 to 5 May 2029.
Ten. Oceania Sonata appears twice in our inventory: one entry carries 88 records, the other none. That is a duplicate on our side, flagged for correction, not two ships.
To the same group as Norwegian. Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings bought their shared parent, Prestige Cruise Holdings, in September 2014. Oceania, Regent and Norwegian are therefore three brands of one company, and three pages on this site for one owner. It does not make the products interchangeable — they are not — but it explains shared policies.
The table. It appointed chef Jacques Pépin culinary director in 2003, and that is what it was built on. In practice that means more restaurants for a ship this size and fewer shows. If you pick a cruise for what happens in the evening, this is not the house.
No, and the gap matters. Four Regatta-class ships carry about 824 guests; Marina and Riviera about 1,250; Vista and Allura about 1,200. Between 824 and 1,250 it is not the same ship, nor the same number of reachable ports.
Oceania Allura, with 158 records, ahead of Oceania Riviera with 144 and Oceania Vista with 142. At the other end, Oceania Regatta carries only 4: by far the lowest in the fleet, and that says nothing about the ship, only about our inventory.
She carries 60 records with us. We have no verified public source on her delivery date and we will not give one. If you are considering booking that ship, have your advisor confirm the departure is actually sold by the line.
We will not say it in the line's place. What the fare covers changes here from one departure, market and cabin grade to the next, and we have not measured it departure by departure. Ask your advisor for the written list of the exact departure before booking, not after.
One ship on one date. If the same ship leaves on the same day, that is one departure, not two. Our database holds more records than departures, and what we publish is the number of departures.
No. Everything given here — number of hulls, number of departures, dates, routes — comes from OUR inventory, measured on 31 August. A zero with us is not a zero with them.
Often, yes. Your advisor can look beyond what appears here. The online catalogue is a way in, not the limit of what exists.
It depends on the departure and the market, not on the line. If French matters to you, say so before booking: it is checked departure by departure.
Because a duplicate or a misspelled permalink sends you to the wrong ship, and a client who notices after paying a deposit is right to hold it against us. We would rather say it here. What is flagged also goes on our correction list.
On fleets this small, yes: few cabins, and the best go early. Booking far ahead fixes a choice but commits money in advance. Talk cancellation terms through with your advisor before you decide.
Your agency, and it alone. Voyages AquaTerra operates under a licence from Quebec's Office de la protection du consommateur, your payments pass through a trust account, and the compensation fund for travel agency clients covers your departure. That holds whichever line you choose.
