Brilliant Lady: the only one of the four that transits the Panama Canal, with departures that left from Quebec City

Brilliant Lady entered service on 5 September 2025, from New York, for Virgin Voyages. We carry 105 departures across 79 dates and 49 routes, from 30 July 2026 to 21 February 2028. One thing before anything else: the fleet is adults only.

What sets her apart from her three sisters

She is the only one of the four able to transit the Panama Canal. That is what opens the West Coast and Alaska to her, where her sisters do not go. Her first season covered New York, New England, Atlantic Canada and Bermuda — and some departures left from Quebec City, which does not happen often with this line. She then moved down to Miami for the winter, before the West Coast and Alaska in 2026 out of Los Angeles, Seattle and Vancouver.

The ship, and a gap between sources

Fincantieri, Sestri Ponente. The class runs to one hundred and ten thousand gross tons for two hundred and seventy-eight metres, two thousand seven hundred and seventy guests and one thousand one hundred and sixty crew. One trade source gives one hundred and forty thousand tons for this one; we keep the class figure and flag the gap rather than settling it in silence. The same goes for delivery: one source dates it to early 2024, another to 5 September 2025. Both agree on the entry into service, so that is what we give.

What the line says is included

Meals, Wi-Fi, group fitness classes and "essential drinks". "Essential" is not "all". Ask your advisor for the written list before booking.
