Club Med Tremblant: ground is broken, see you in December 2028

On October 7, 2026, five golden shovels went into the ground on Tremblant's Versant Soleil, in front of some fifty guests. Behind them, excavators had already been at work for months. Club Med is building its second mountain resort in Canada here, after Club Med Québec Charlevoix, with opening planned for December 2028.

Where will Club Med Tremblant be?

The resort is rising on the Versant Soleil side of Mont Tremblant, at the foot of the Timber summit trails, a short walk from the pedestrian village, right next to the Tremblant casino. Guests will click into their skis at the door and glide back at the end of the day without a shuttle.

Tremblant sits in the Laurentians, about a 90-minute drive from Montréal. The mountain is growing alongside the resort: the new Timber summit adds eight trails and a quad chairlift for the 2027-2028 winter, one season before Club Med arrives.

What will be included?

The formula is the one that built Club Med's reputation in the mountains. The package covers accommodation, meals and drinks, the lift pass, and group ski or snowboard lessons for every level. Kids clubs, G.O.s and the brand's sports academies are part of the experience.

Club Med promises cuisine inspired by Québec's terroir and an après-ski atmosphere worthy of Tremblant. The resort will also feature a Nordic-inspired wellness area with an indoor pool, thermal spaces, yoga and a fitness room, plus an adults-only zone.

An Exclusive Collection space at Tremblant

Part of the resort will form an Exclusive Collection space, Club Med's most refined tier: a more intimate, personalized stay with panoramic mountain views and an alpine-lodge feel. Couples and families looking for a quieter stay should keep an eye on it once room categories are revealed.

A resort for all four seasons

Tremblant is as lively in summer as in winter, and Club Med is planning accordingly. Once the snow melts, the program turns to hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding on the region's lakes. For Québec families, that means a Club Med within driving distance, in July as well as February.

Charlevoix or Tremblant: two mountains, two personalities

Club Med Québec Charlevoix, open since 2021 at Le Massif de Charlevoix, has welcomed more than 170,000 guests. Its signature is the St. Lawrence spreading out below the slopes. Tremblant will offer something else: a big, lively resort town, a pedestrian village, nightlife, and one of the largest ski areas in eastern North America.

A project built with the region

Club Med expects about 300 direct jobs, and 80 rooms will be built to house part of the staff and ease pressure on local rentals. More than 61% of the property will remain green space with native species. The building targets LEED Gold certification and its operations, Green Globe. Carolyne Doyon, President and CEO of Club Med North America and the Caribbean, stressed the role of local talent, businesses and products.

What is still to be confirmed

The final room count, room categories and the date bookings open have not been announced. Early 2025 reports mentioned about 300 rooms, a figure Club Med did not repeat in its October 2026 announcement. We will update this page as soon as sales open.
