This ship left the fleet on 17 August 2026

That belongs before everything else, because the page did not say it. The Oceania Regatta made her last sailing for this line on 17 August 2026: ten nights in the eastern Mediterranean, Dubrovnik to Istanbul. That is why this page carries no departure dates at all. The gap was visible; nobody explained it.

She left on a three hundred and sixty-eight day charter to My Cruises, which operates her under the Explorations by Norwegian brand from September 2026. The charter has been renewed for a second year, the 2027-28 season, with two hundred and thirty ports of call announced and a full circumnavigation of Australia. These voyages are aimed mainly at Australian and New Zealand guests; the shortest segments run ten nights. No plan has been announced for what follows.

The hull, and where it came from

Delivered in November 1998 by Chantiers de l'Atlantique at Saint-Nazaire, this thirty thousand two hundred and seventy-seven ton ship measures one hundred and eighty metres and carries six hundred and eighty-four guests at double occupancy, up to eight hundred and twenty-four at maximum, with three hundred and eighty-six crew across nine accessible decks.

She has carried three names: R Two from 1998 to 2002, Insignia from 2002 to 2003, then Regatta since 2003. She belongs to a series of eight hulls built for an American operator that folded in the early two thousands and were then divided among several lines. Three of her sisters are still with Oceania.

What this means if you were looking for this ship

The whole class is going. The Oceania Nautica makes her final sailing on 15 October 2027, the Oceania Sirena on 24 March 2028. Only the Oceania Insignia has no announced exit date. If it was the format of these small ships that appealed to you, there is little time left, and the fleet is rebuilding around markedly larger hulls.

What is included, and what changed in 2024

Start with what many people still think they know. The simply MORE package, which added a shore excursion credit and an alcoholic beverage package to the fare, ended on 30 September 2024. Its replacement, Your World Included, applies to bookings created from 1 October 2024 for sailings in 2025 and later. It gives more in some respects and less in others.

What it adds: shipboard gratuities are now included for every guest everywhere, where before they came only with certain regions or loyalty programmes. What it removes: the excursion credit and the alcoholic beverage package are no longer granted automatically. A guest who booked with this line before autumn 2024 therefore arrives with an idea that is no longer accurate.

The rest of the fare is stable and it is substantial. Speciality restaurants are included, with no cover charge, and this line makes that its central argument. In-suite dining is included. Starlink Wi-Fi is included and unlimited. Soft drinks, speciality coffees, teas, still and sparkling water, juices, smoothies and ice cream are included. So are group fitness classes and laundry service.

Shore excursions and alcoholic drinks are paid separately, or bought as a package before departure. Ask your advisor exactly what your booking carries, because two files on the same ship may not include the same things depending on their date.

    Booking from Quebec

The contract is with Oceania Cruises S. de R.L., headquartered in Miami, and the ships fly the flag of the Marshall Islands. A claim for personal injury, illness or death goes to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida in Miami, or to a Miami-Dade County court. Every other claim goes to binding arbitration before National Arbitration and Mediation in Miami, and the contract imposes a class-action waiver. Only small claims filed in Miami-Dade County escape that clause.

The deadlines differ by claim type, and the second one surprises people. Six months' written notice and one year to sue, for personal injury. But thirty days' notice after the cruise ends for any other claim, and six months to act. Damaged luggage, a service not delivered, a cancelled call: thirty days from disembarkation. Baggage liability is capped, and the cap rises only on a declaration of value with a fee attached. The Athens Convention applies to international cruises calling at neither a US nor a European port, with its own limits.

The carrier reserves the right to change the date or time of sailing, the port of embarkation or the destination, to shorten the cruise or substitute the ship, without notice and without compensation, except as the law requires. Nothing establishes a Quebec licence for it. Your protection comes from here: Voyages AquaTerra holds a licence from the Office de la protection du consommateur, your payments pass through a trust account, and your departure is covered by the compensation fund for travel agency customers.

    Frequently Asked Questions

The answer changed in 2024 and many people still do not know it. Since 30 September of that year, shipboard gratuities are included for every guest, which was not the case before. In exchange, the excursion credit and the alcoholic beverage package that came with the old fare are gone. Check what your booking carries rather than what you remember.
No, not since autumn 2024. It is the change that most surprises guests loyal to this line: the excursion credit was part of the old fare and was not carried over. Outings are paid separately or bought as a package before boarding.
Included, in full. That is the gain from the 2024 change: what was granted only to certain markets now applies to every guest everywhere. You will therefore see no daily service charge appear during the crossing.
Not since autumn 2024. That is the trade for gratuities now being included. The non-alcoholic side stays generous: speciality coffees, teas, juices, smoothies, still and sparkling water, soft drinks, ice cream. For wine and spirits you need a package or you pay as you go.
All included, and it is the heart of the proposition. Where several competitors charge for access to their best tables, here the fare covers them. In-suite dining is included too. If you do not plan to eat there often, though, the argument loses its force.
Included, and unlimited. It is a full inclusion rather than a basic allowance to top up. On long crossings far from shore, quality depends on satellite coverage at the time, which is outside the line's control and ours.
It is renewing itself entirely, and quickly. The generation of small 1998 hulls is ending: one left on 17 August 2026, two have exit dates in 2027 and 2028, the fourth has none yet. The replacements are far larger ships, five of which are on order out to 2037.
There is only one ship behind these two names. The Nautica's hull goes into refit after 15 October 2027 and comes out as the Aurelia late the same year, with five hundred guests instead of six hundred and eighty-four. Counting them separately would inflate the inventory by fifty-four departures that exist only once.
We do not know, and that is the honest answer. The information appears on none of the supplier's technical sheets. It is verified at booking, ship by ship and date by date, because availability matters as much as the count.
The passage contract is American and worth reading. Signed with Oceania Cruises S. de R.L. in Miami, it sends personal injury to the Florida courts and everything else to binding arbitration, with a class-action waiver. The Athens Convention applies on top for cruises calling at neither a US nor a European port.
Thirty days, and that is short. The deadline covers any claim other than personal injury and it runs from the end of the cruise, not from the day you notice the problem. Then six months to act. Personal injury follows different rules: six months' notice, one year to sue.
No. The Oceania Regatta made her last sailing for Oceania on 17 August 2026: ten nights in the eastern Mediterranean, Dubrovnik to Istanbul. That is why this page carries no departure dates at all. The ship has left on charter.
To My Cruises, which operates her under the Explorations by Norwegian brand from September 2026, on a three hundred and sixty-eight day charter. The charter has been renewed for the 2027-28 season, with two hundred and thirty ports of call announced and a full circumnavigation of Australia.
No plan has been announced for what follows the two charter years. We can therefore neither promise it nor rule it out. What we do know is that her three sisters in the series all have a known or near deadline.
