In Finnmark, on a fjord used mainly by fishing boats and the coastal express. The village has a few hundred residents and serves as the seat of Loppa municipality, a territory of fjords and islands where the road often stops at the water's edge.
It is the only glacier on the Norwegian mainland that calves directly into the sea, dropping its ice into the neighbouring Jokelfjord. The ninth largest in Norway by area, it is the main event of the call.

No museum and no memorable shop, and that is its strength. The call is lived at the scale of the landscape, not of monuments. It reminds you that part of the world still runs on the sea, the ice and the light. The currency is the Norwegian krone (NOK).
