    Last Silversea cruise in November 2023

    Silver Explorer has left the fleet. Its last cruise for the line ended at Valparaíso, Chile, at the end of November 2023, after a twenty-three-day voyage from Tahiti. Fifteen years of service under this flag.

    The hull carried on. Sold to a French expedition brand, it sailed under another name from December 2023. That brand was wound up in November 2025 and the ship was auctioned. It was acquired in 2026 by an operator that announces its return to service under a third name in May 2027, carrying 130 guests.

    Silver Endeavour is the fleet's best-armoured expedition ship for ice. Silver Cloud and Silver Wind are converted hulls, larger and more comfortable. Silver Origin serves a single destination only, the Galápagos.
