Frequently Asked Questions

Alongside, directly: no tender, no waiting. From the exit, a signposted walkway leads to the different zones, all reachable on foot in ten to fifteen minutes.
Most of the island: the shores of Chill Island and South Beach with loungers and umbrellas, the Oasis Lagoon pool, and meals served in several pavilions, with burgers, tacos, grilled chicken and salads. A whole day can pass this way without spending another dollar.
Thrill Waterpark, the Up, Up and Away helium balloon, the zip line, and the Coco Beach Club and Hideaway Beach enclaves. These are best booked before the cruise, as places go quickly.
The tallest waterslide in North America: a 41-metre spiral drop inside Thrill Waterpark, which has thirteen slides across two towers plus a wave pool. You can spot it from the ship's deck.
A tethered helium balloon rising 137 metres above the cay for ten minutes of panorama over the shallows: the Bahamas from above, without a helicopter.
The freshwater pool at the centre of the island, billed as the largest in the Caribbean, with a swim-up bar and shallow areas for families. It is included in the cruise.
Two, in fact. Hideaway Beach, open since 2024, gives adults their own shore with pools, music and bars, in a pool-party mood. Coco Beach Club offers north-side exclusivity, with an infinity pool, a full-service restaurant and overwater cabanas. Both require a pass.
Very much so. Captain Jill's galleon splash area, the shallow ends of Oasis Lagoon and the all-you-can-eat buffets make this a day of recreation tuned to every generation. What it is not is an encounter with Bahamian culture, and the island makes no such claim.
The Bahamian dollar, at par with the US dollar, and English. On the island everything is settled with the ship's card.
Get off early: the best spots at Oasis Lagoon and South Beach go within the first hour. Bring water shoes and sun protection, as natural shade is limited. And take paddleboard or kayak trips in the morning, while the wind is still asleep.
