The last of the three sisters

There were three, from the same Genoese yard between 2009 and 2011: the Odyssey, the Sojourn and the Quest. Two have gone to a Japanese owner. The Quest is the only one still sailing under Seabourn colours, which is why she carries one hundred and ninety departure dates while her sisters carry none.

Built in 2011 by T. Mariotti at Genoa, she is one hundred and ninety-eight metres by twenty-five, measures thirty-two thousand three hundred and forty-six gross tons and holds two hundred and twenty-five suites for four hundred and fifty guests and three hundred and thirty crew across eleven decks. She was refitted in 2013, 2016, 2018 and again in May 2026 at Fincantieri in Genoa.

What we cannot establish

The Quest has sailed Antarctica for years, but her ice class is published nowhere. That is not a detail in front of a glacier face: ask for written confirmation if the itinerary runs south. The number of wheelchair-accessible suites is not published either.

What is included, and what is not

Seabourn is clear on this, and that deserves saying because not every line is. Gratuities are neither required nor expected. Premium spirits and wines are served on board at all times at no extra charge. Every restaurant is included, with no exceptions and no cover charge. Starlink satellite Wi-Fi is included, in unlimited-minute packages. Caviar is included. Your suite bar is stocked to your preferences.

What is not included fits in one line, and it is the one to remember: shore excursions and the Ventures by Seabourn programme are charged separately. On an expedition voyage that is the item that can weigh most after the fare itself. Get the list before you sail.

Where her sisters went

The Odyssey left the fleet in September 2024 and the Sojourn in mid-May 2026. Both pages stay online and explain what became of them. For a ship in the same spirit but larger, the Ovation, and the fleet as a whole to compare.

Booking from Quebec

The contract repays a careful reading, because it is markedly less favourable than several competitors'. The carrier is Holland America Line Limited, which has operated the Seabourn ships since 17 December 2024. United States maritime law applies, and where it does not, the law of the State of Washington.

A personal injury or death claim goes to the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington at Seattle, or a court in King County. Every other claim goes to binding arbitration in that same county. And the contract imposes a class-action waiver: you sue alone, never as a group.

The notice periods are the shortest we have recorded on this site. Six months for injury or death. Fifteen days for any other claim. One year to file suit, ninety days to serve. Fifteen days go quickly once you are home: write the disembarkation date down somewhere.

The carrier also reserves the right to cancel the cruise or deviate from the route, ports and timetable, for any reason and without notice. Nothing establishes a Quebec licence for it. Your protection comes from here: Voyages AquaTerra holds a licence from the Office de la protection du consommateur, your payments pass through a trust account, and your departure is covered by the compensation fund for travel agency customers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Included, in the simplest possible way: nothing to pay and nothing to work out. No daily charge posted, no envelope expected, no box to untick. Few lines work this way, and it is one of the rare points where the comparison is immediate.
Included at all times. Unlike lines that sell a package with a limited list and a price cap, Seabourn serves premium spirits and wines at no extra charge and stocks the suite bar to your preferences. The difference shows most on a long crossing.
All of them, and it is one of the few things that need no checking. You choose where, when and with whom you eat. No table is reserved for a suite category or behind a supplement.
Included, in unlimited-minute packages, on the Starlink satellite network. That is well above the sector average, where internet is still sold by the day. Physics still applies: the higher the latitude, the less stable the link.
No, they are charged separately, as is the Ventures by Seabourn programme. On a classic cruise that stays marginal; on an expedition it is the item that can weigh most after the fare.
The carrier named in the contract is Holland America Line Limited, not Seabourn, which is the brand. That change dates from 17 December 2024; before it, Holland America Line N.V. Both sit under Carnival Corporation.
Two routes, depending on what you are claiming. Personal injury or death goes to the Washington State courts. Any other claim is sent to binding arbitration in King County, and you waive any class action in advance. That is not trivial: read the clause before you sign.
Six months for injury or death, fifteen days for everything else: lost luggage, service not delivered, a cancelled call. Then one year to file. Those fifteen days run from disembarkation, not from the moment you notice the problem.
The guarantee does not come from the line, which has no established Quebec licence, but from the agency selling it. A licence from the Office de la protection du consommateur, a trust account, and cover by the compensation fund for travel agency customers.
Yes. The wording is broad: cancellation or deviation for any reason, without notice. If you are booking a cruise for a specific call rather than for the ship, keep that clause in mind.
Five on the two expedition ships, and nothing published for the classic ones. That is an information gap hard to justify, and we ask for the detailed plan at booking rather than letting the traveller find the answer on board.
She had two, and it is the most useful thing to know about her. The Odyssey, the Sojourn and the Quest came from the same Genoese yard between 2009 and 2011. The first two were sold to a Japanese owner; the Quest is the only one still sailing under Seabourn colours.
She has sailed there for years, but her ice class is published nowhere. That is not a detail in front of a glacier face. If your itinerary runs south, ask for written confirmation of the ship's certification before booking.
Four times: in 2013, 2016, 2018 and again in May 2026 at Fincantieri in Genoa. The 2016 refit reworked deck ten and added four spa suites; the 2013 one installed ballast water treatment.
Four hundred and fifty at double occupancy, up to five hundred and forty at maximum, with three hundred and thirty crew. Two hundred and twenty-five suites across eleven decks, in one hundred and ninety-eight metres.
