Add 171,598 gross tons, 19 decks, 2,217 cabins and roughly 1,596 crew, and how crowded it feels depends mostly on how many children are aboard.
Some, though less than in Europe. MSC works in six main languages, English, Italian, German, French, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese, ordered by how many guests each group represents. On MSC Bellissima's Asian sailings, Mandarin, Japanese and English carry the day. Quebecers who want French at the guest services desk will find far more of it in the Mediterranean.
Treat it as a long haul. Montreal-Trudeau has no nonstop service to Shanghai, so you connect through Toronto, Vancouver or Europe and absorb a twelve-hour time difference. Book at least two hotel nights before boarding MSC Bellissima so jet lag wears off, and check Chinese visa requirements early rather than the week before departure.
It is the ship's indoor main street. The Galleria Bellissima runs 96 metres past boutiques, cafés and bars beneath an 80-metre LED ceiling that shifts scenery through the day and turns into a stage after dark. It is where MSC Bellissima's social life happens, and also the loudest place on board most evenings.
Newer finishes and two genuine signatures. MSC Bellissima was the first ship fitted with Zoe, the in-cabin voice assistant, and it carries a deck 16 cabin lined with roughly 700,000 Swarovski crystals. Its Galleria runs longer than Meraviglia's. Layout and flow, however, are close to identical, so do not expect a different ship.
If crowds wear you out, yes. MSC Bellissima's Yacht Club holds 93 suites forward on decks 14 to 16, with butler service, the Top Sail Lounge, a private restaurant and sundeck, and the Premium Extra drinks package included. Guests who plan to live at the aquapark and the casino get less from it: the premium buys quiet.

MSC Bellissima devotes 700 square metres to children, split by age: Baby Club Chicco from 6 months to 3 years, Mini Club LEGO from 3 to 6, Juniors Club LEGO from 7 to 11, Young Club from 12 to 14 and Teens Club from 15 to 17. Drop-off baby care is capped at fifteen infants and charged.
They cost extra. MSC Bellissima's Carousel Lounge stages SWEET and MYÜT, acrobatic productions now branded Carousel Productions at Sea since the Cirque du Soleil partnership ended. Tickets are bought separately, no drinks package covers them, and the room is small enough that you should book on embarkation day. Main theatre shows remain included.
A few themes repeat in reviews. Quiet corners are scarce outside the Yacht Club, especially when a thousand children are aboard. Service quality swings by venue, a consequence of one of the leanest crew-to-guest ratios in the business. And the onboard selling, from photographs to shore excursions announced over the public address, wears thin.

Premium Extra covers cocktails, spirits, wine and beer by the glass, specialty coffee and soft drinks up to a per-drink value ceiling, gratuities included, with a fifteen alcoholic drink daily cap. Two rules catch people out: every adult in a cabin must buy the same package, and minors need their own.

A midship balcony on a middle deck is the safe answer on MSC Bellissima. Skip cabins directly beneath the deck 15 buffet and those facing the Galleria if noise bothers you. Bella fares cost less, but MSC assigns your cabin number, sometimes late. Fantastica lets you pick the location and adds breakfast delivered to the cabin.
