Disney Newport Bay Club

Disney Newport Bay Club® looks like a grand New England seaside resort, all white verandas and slate blue roofs. Harbor Light watches over Lake Disney, and Cliff Walk, the promenade along the shore, invites an evening stroll while the hotel lights dance on the water.

Opened in 1992, this four-star hotel was fully renovated between 2013 and 2016. Despite its 1,093 rooms, it keeps the calm, polished feel of a yacht club. The parks are about a fifteen-minute walk away.

Who is Disney Newport Bay Club for?

Families who want a spacious room and a restful setting after busy days, and couples who enjoy a classic atmosphere. Grandparents will appreciate a hotel where everything is close at hand: restaurants, pools and the boutique are all in the Main Building.

Which room should you choose?

Standard rooms, with white wood panelling and blue and white striped fabrics, suit most families. Lake View rooms add the water to your morning, and some Superior rooms have a terrace. Family rooms sleep up to six.

Compass Club occupies the top two floors with 355 rooms and 13 suites. Guests enjoy a dedicated reception and access to Compass Club Lounge, which serves breakfast in the morning and then drinks and snacks during the day.

Where can you eat at Disney Newport Bay Club?

Cape Cod serves a buffet in a pleasant seaside veranda, where light from the lake pours through tall windows. Yacht Club recreates the luxury of an ocean liner in dark wood, and its menu showcases seafood and surf and turf.

Captain's Quarters, the hotel bar, tells the story of yacht racing, including the America's Cup. Grown-ups settle into deep armchairs while children finish their hot chocolate.

What is there to do between park visits?

Nantucket Pool and Health Club combines a heated indoor and outdoor pool, a hot tub, a sauna, a steam room, a fitness room and a massage room. The indoor pool, with its ocean liner hull lined with portholes, is always a hit with children.

Younger guests also have Little Captains' Corner, their play area. In the lobby, Mickey, Minnie and their friends greet families in their sailor outfits, and Bay Boutique stocks New England-style souvenirs.

How does staying here change your park days?

Like every Disney Hotel guest, you enjoy Extra Magic Time, when selected attractions open before the general public, and you can book restaurants as soon as your stay is confirmed. The walk to Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World takes about fifteen minutes along the lake and through Disney Village, and a free shuttle also covers the route.

How do you get to Disney Newport Bay Club from Canada?

Flights from Montréal land at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. From there, the TGV high-speed train reaches Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy station in about ten minutes, and the free shuttles to the Disney Hotels leave from there. If you spend a few days in Paris first, the RER A line brings you to the same station.
