Disneyland® Paris is about 32 kilometres east of Paris, in Marne-la-Vallée. Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy station opens a few steps from both parks, which is what makes the trip from the city so easy.

For Canadian families it is the natural way to plan: a few days in Paris, then the parks, or the other way around. Here is how to make the journey and how to organize it.

How do you get from Paris to Disneyland Paris by RER?

RER line A runs from central Paris to Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy, the end of the line. Allow about 35 to 45 minutes depending on your departure station, such as Châtelet-Les Halles, Gare de Lyon or Nation. Trains usually run every 10 to 15 minutes during the day.

Check the destination on the platform: line A splits into several branches, and only trains marked Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy go to the parks. From the station, the park entrance is a few minutes' walk.

Which transit ticket do you need?

Since 2025, a single Metro-Train-RER ticket covers travel anywhere in the Île-de-France region, including Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy. Buy it from station machines or in the Île-de-France Mobilités app. Navigo and Paris Visite passes are also accepted under their own conditions.

Can you go straight from the airport?

Yes. From Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, where flights from Montréal land, the TGV reaches Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy in about ten minutes. The Magical Shuttle coach service also links Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports with the Disney Hotels and partner hotels. After an overnight flight with children, a pre-booked transfer saves you wrestling suitcases through the metro, and we can include it in your package.

Paris first, or Disney first?

Starting in Paris gives everyone time to get over jet lag before the long park days. Starting at Disney uses the children's early-trip energy for the parks and ends the vacation at the city's gentler pace. Moving between the two is easy by RER, or by private transfer if you are carrying a lot of luggage.

A Disney day trip from Paris?

It works, and Disney itself suggests it to visitors staying in the city. Leave early to be there at opening, pick one park so you are not rushing, and save energy for the nighttime show before heading back. For more than a taste, two or three days with a night at a Disney Hotel change everything: the walk to the gates replaces the commute, and Extra Magic Time gets you in ahead of the crowds.

Yes. Leave early to arrive at opening, focus on one park and stay for the nighttime show before taking the RER back. One day covers the highlights of a single park, but two or three days with a night at a Disney Hotel give you a much fuller and more relaxed experience of both parks. Check the time of the last trains back to Paris before the show starts.
Both work. Starting in Paris helps everyone recover from jet lag before the long park days. Starting at Disney makes the most of the children's energy early in the trip and ends the vacation at the city's calmer pace. Our advisors build the itinerary around your children's ages and your travel dates.
Yes, it is strongly recommended. Disneyland Paris tickets are dated and booked before your visit, online or as part of a package, and they are generally not sold at the park gates, especially on busy days.
