Easily. The park, open from roughly late March to mid-May, is about an hour away via the shuttle bus from Schiphol or on organized excursions. Book tickets and transport online and aim for a weekday morning to dodge the April crowds.
Three nights cover the essentials: canals, the Rijksmuseum or Van Gogh Museum, the Jordaan and an evening cruise. A fourth night adds Amsterdam-Noord or a day trip to Haarlem, Zaanse Schans or The Hague. Many travellers then continue through the Netherlands by train.
On foot and by tram at first: the centre crosses in 40 minutes and OVpay contactless works with a regular bank card. Bikes rule the city, but ride carefully; the lanes are fast and locals have little patience for hesitant cyclists. Ferries to Noord are free.
