Club Med Alpe d'Huez: the essentials

Club Med Alpe d'Huez is a 440-room family ski resort facing due south on the Grandes Rousses massif, in the Isère region. It suits families with young children, groups of friends with mixed abilities and skiers who love the sun. The package brings together your room, three meals a day, the open bar, the lift pass for the 237 km ski area and group ski or snowboard lessons from age 4. Its two great strengths: clubs for every age, from 4 months, and the Sarenne, a 16 km run down from the Pic Blanc.

What is included in the Club Med Alpe d'Huez package?

The package covers accommodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as the open bar and snacks from morning to evening. Drinks served by the glass are included; champagne and some bottles on the menu are at extra cost. On the ski side, your lift pass is waiting for you at check-in, and group ski or snowboard lessons are included from age 4, in groups formed by level. Mini Club Med (ages 4 to 10), Club Med Teens (11 to 13) and the Chill Pass (14 to 17) are also part of the package.

At extra cost, on reservation: ski, boot and helmet rental at the resort's ski shop, Payot Spa treatments, Baby Club Med (4 to 23 months), Petit Club Med (ages 2 and 3) and outdoor parking.

Who is Club Med Alpe d'Huez ideal for?

Families first, because it welcomes children of every age, from 4-month-old babies to 17-year-olds. Then groups of friends with different abilities: experts head up to the Pic Blanc, at 3,330 metres, while beginners progress in lessons. And anyone dreaming of blue skies in midwinter: facing due south, the resort enjoys some 300 days of sunshine a year.

What do our travellers love about Club Med Alpe d'Huez?

The sun, above all. The large terraces face the Oisans, and late in the season you ski firm snow in the morning before settling outside in the afternoon. The Sarenne becomes the run everyone talks about back home. Families love finding everything in one place, lessons, clubs and meals, with nothing to organize. In the evening, Le Pic Blanc restaurant serves raclette and fondue in a relaxed setting, and La Bulle hosts yoga, meditation and Pilates to loosen tired legs.

Which room or space should you choose?

For a couple, the Superior room, 23 to 28 m², is perfect. With two children, aim for the Superior Family room with balcony, 28 to 38 m², which gives everyone room to breathe at the end of the day. For six, two connecting Junior Family rooms offer 56 to 76 m² with balcony, and everyone keeps their own corner. The Deluxe category and the suite appeal to those who want more space, and adapted rooms welcome guests with reduced mobility. If a view of the peaks matters to you, say so when you book.

Why book with an AquaTerra advisor?

The 2026-2027 season runs from December 6 to April 17. The holidays, Quebec spring break and Easter, on March 28, 2027, go first, especially Baby Club Med and Petit Club Med spots, which are limited: book them together with your room. From Quebec, you fly to Lyon or Geneva, with or without a stopover depending on the season, then a transfer reaches the resort in 2 hours 30 minutes from Lyon or 3 hours 15 minutes from Geneva. Book your equipment rental ahead too: your first morning is spent on the slopes rather than at the counter.

Voyages Synergia received the Club Med Excellence Award 2025. Our advisors check every detail of the package for you and compare Alpe d'Huez with Serre Chevalier or the other Club Med resorts in the French Alps, including Alpe d'Huez. See also every Club Med ski resort we offer.

Call 1-866-628-6241. You will reach someone who knows these resorts and has time for you. We look together at what is available on your dates, we choose the right resort, and we stay on the line throughout your stay. That is the difference between booking alone in front of a screen and travelling with someone behind you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Check-in starts at 3 p.m., and Sunday is the usual arrival day for Club Med ski stays. After an overnight flight from Quebec, your advisor adjusts the transfer time so you reach the resort at the right moment and your group can enjoy its first evening.
Your lift pass is ready at check-in, at the resort. It gives access to the lifts and gondolas of the Alpe d'Huez ski area. You head out on the first morning with no stop at a ticket office, and children enrolled in lessons receive theirs too.
Yes. The resort's ski shop rents skis, snowboards, boots and helmets, and rental can be booked online before departure through the easy arrival service. Your equipment is ready when you arrive. Rental is at extra cost, and your advisor can add it to your booking.
Children are placed in 9 levels, adults in 5 ski levels or 3 snowboard levels. A typical week includes 5 days of lessons. For ages 4 to 7, you choose a half day or a full day. Everyone progresses with skiers at their own level, from the first turn to the big runs.
The resort offers private lockers for skis, boots and poles between ski days. You leave your equipment there in the evening and pick it up in the morning, which keeps your room dry. If you rent at the resort's ski shop, everything happens in the same place.
France uses the euro. Outlets are type C and E, at 230 volts: bring an adapter for your North American devices and check that your chargers accept that voltage. Most phone and laptop chargers handle it without any trouble, so a simple plug adapter is usually all you need.
Drinks served by the glass are included, as are snacks, from morning to evening. Champagne and some bottles on the menu are at extra cost. To celebrate a birthday or a honeymoon, your advisor tells you what can be ordered on site and how to plan it.
Yes, the resort offers rooms adapted for guests with reduced mobility. Tell your advisor about your needs when you book: they request the adapted room and arrange a transfer that suits you. These rooms are limited, especially over the holidays and spring break.
Yes, the resort town has 50 km of cross-country trails, on top of 237 km of alpine runs. It is a lovely option for grandparents travelling with the family or for a quieter day. Your advisor explains what the lift pass covers and how to rent the equipment.
In January, the resort town hosts the International Comedy Film Festival, which livens up its streets and theatres. It is also a quieter time on the slopes, between the holidays and spring break, with good midwinter snow. A great window for a couple or a group of friends.
