Club Med Vittel Golf Ermitage, the hotel fact sheet

Club Med Vittel Golf Ermitage is a Premium all-inclusive hotel, Green Globe certified, set in an Art Deco building opened in 1930 in the heart of the Vosges forest, in Vittel, in France's Grand Est region. With 132 rooms, it is a Club Med on a human scale, bordered by the Vittel Ermitage golf course, an 18-hole par 72 created in 1905. Nancy train station is 87 km away, a 1 hour 10 minute drive, and Place Stanislas, in Nancy, 90 km. The hotel is open until October 31, 2026, then from April 10 to November 6, 2027.

Which rooms does Club Med Vittel Golf Ermitage offer?

The rooms keep the Art Deco charm of the house. Here are the categories, with their sizes:

  • Superior Room: 20 to 35 m².

  • Junior Family Room: 33 to 37 m², for 1 to 3 people.

What facilities does the hotel have?

You enter by the double staircase, then settle into cosy lounges that feel like a grand manor. The large terrace overlooks the green and becomes the late-afternoon meeting point. Meals follow the spirit of a French table d'hôte, and the bar sets the scene for drinks. The 18-hole course, on Mont Saint-Jean, winds between the trees at about 400 metres of altitude. You will also find tennis, the pool, a fitness studio, a sauna and a hammam, and the Vosges forest begins at the hotel's doorstep.

What do our travellers love about Club Med Vittel Golf Ermitage?

The atmosphere, first of all. You enter by the double staircase, settle into the cosy lounges, and feel as if you are staying in a grand manor rather than a hotel complex. With 132 rooms, the staff quickly learn your name. The large terrace facing the green becomes the late-afternoon meeting point. Golfers love playing a wooded, rolling course created in 1905. Others enjoy the Vosges forest by bike or on foot, then the sauna and hammam before dinner.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, taxes and tips are included in the Club Med package. At the bar, at the table or during golf lessons, you enjoy the service without counting. If a team member has really touched you, a note left at reception is always appreciated and gladly passed on.
Yes, Wi-Fi is included in the package. It is handy for planning the rest of your trip in France, checking a train schedule or using the My Club Med app. Many of our travellers also take the chance to unplug, between a round of golf, a forest outing and a moment in the sauna.
France uses the euro. At the hotel, the room, meals, the bar, activities and tips are included, so you need little cash on site. Bring a credit card for course access, clinics, the boutique and your visits to Nancy or Paris.
Yes. France uses 230-volt current and round-pin outlets, different from Canadian ones. Bring an adapter, and check that your devices accept dual voltage: most phone and laptop chargers do. For a hair straightener or dryer, a converter may be needed.
Yes, the hotel stays open until October 31, 2026. It is a lovely time for Quebecers who love fall colours: the Vosges forest turns yellow and russet, and the cool mornings are perfect for a bike ride. The next season starts again on April 10, 2027.
Yes, the intimate atmosphere lends itself well to it. Group golf lessons, tennis, gravel bike outings and fitness walks bring guests together around a shared passion, and the terrace facing the green invites conversation. Your advisor checks single-occupancy rates for your dates.
Keen golfers often prefer to travel with their own bag, especially for a stay focused on the course. Your advisor helps you plan how to carry the equipment on flights and on the train. If you are a beginner, mention it before departure: your advisor checks with the resort what suits the group lessons.
Yes, children are welcome at any age. The stay then becomes a family affair: tennis, cycling, the pool and forest walks are shared across generations, and the Family rooms, for up to four with a park view, keep everyone together. It is a lovely way to introduce younger ones to France.
Gravel biking is done on dirt and gravel paths, somewhere between road cycling and mountain biking. At Club Med Vittel, the outings are guided and included in the package. You ride under the trees of the Vosges forest, at different levels, and come back just in time for a drink on the terrace.
Yes, the hotel has a pool, included in the package, as are the sauna, the hammam and the fitness studio. After a round of golf or a bike ride, it is the right place to relax before dinner. Pack a swimsuit, even for a fall stay.
