Club Med Vittel Golf Ermitage at a glance

Club Med Vittel Golf Ermitage is a Premium all-inclusive Art Deco hotel, opened in 1930 in the heart of the Vosges forest, in Vittel, in the Grand Est region of France. With 132 rooms, it is an intimate Club Med, popular with couples and adults. Its large terrace overlooks the Vittel Ermitage golf course, an 18-hole, par-72 course created in 1905. Group golf lessons, tennis, bike outings and the sauna are included. The 2027 season runs from April 10 to November 6. It is the ideal stop for three or four quiet days before or after Paris, Nancy or Alsace, with accommodation, meals and the bar included.

When is Club Med Vittel Golf Ermitage open?

The hotel follows the rhythm of the golf season. This fall, it stays open until October 31, 2026. It reopens on April 10, 2027 and welcomes guests until November 6. May and June are superb, with the Vosges forest in full leaf and greens in perfect shape. September and October add fall colours that Quebecers enjoy as much as at home.

How do you get to Vittel from Quebec?

The simplest way: a flight from Montreal or Quebec City to Paris, with or without a connection depending on the season, then the TGV to Nancy, about 1 hour 30 minutes from Paris. Nancy station is 87 km from the hotel, 1 hour 10 minutes by road. Your advisor arranges flights, train and transfer so that everything flows smoothly.

Why combine Vittel with Paris or Alsace-Lorraine?

Because Vittel is the perfect place to unwind after the city. Many of our clients spend three or four days in Paris, take the train to Lorraine, then finish with an all-inclusive stay where everything is taken care of. Nancy, 90 km away, deserves a stop for its Place Stanislas, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Alsace, with its flower-filled villages and vineyards, is also easy to add. What is the Art Deco Ermitage hotel like?

The Hôtel de l'Ermitage opened its doors in 1930, when Vittel drew high society coming to take the waters. You enter by a double staircase, settle into cosy lounges, and the large terrace opens onto the green. The estate is protected by the forest, with less than 20% built-up area. The atmosphere recalls an elegant family home rather than a large complex, and the hotel is Green Globe certified.

What is the Vittel Ermitage golf course like?

The Vittel Ermitage golf course, on Mont Saint-Jean, is an 18-hole, par-72 course of 6,338 metres, created in 1905: at the time, it was the second 18-hole course in France. Modernized in 1928, it winds through the trees at about 400 metres of altitude, with views over the valley. It is a hilly, wooded course that rewards precision. Group golf lessons are included in the package, while course access and "green card" clinics cost extra.

What is included in the package?

The package includes accommodation, meals, the bar and supervised activities: group golf lessons, tennis, guided gravel bike outings in the forest, fitness walks, Les Mills classes, a fitness studio, pool, sauna and hammam. Golf course access, golf clinics and horseback riding clinics cost extra. Equestrian competitions take place nearby, a great show for horse lovers.

Restaurant at Club Med Vittel Golf Ermitage, France

What is the food like at Club Med Vittel?

The dining follows the spirit of the French table d'hôtes, with seasonal products and regional specialities. In Lorraine, that means quiche, mirabelle plums in late summer and Vosges cheeses. Meals and bar drinks are included, and guests like an aperitif on the terrace facing the green.

Is Club Med Vittel good for families?

The hotel welcomes children of all ages, in a setting designed for couples and adults: children spend their days with their parents, biking, on the tennis courts or at the pool. Junior Family rooms, 33 to 37 m², sleep up to three, and Family rooms, 43 to 62 m² with a park view, sleep up to four.

Which room should you choose at Club Med Vittel?

The Superior room measures 20 to 35 m²; for a golfing couple, ask for the golf-view version, 30 to 34 m², to open the curtains onto the fairways. The Deluxe categories and suites offer more space and beautiful Art Deco proportions. Families choose the Junior Family or Family rooms. Your advisor books the category that suits your group.

Vittel or Opio en Provence: which one to choose?

Vittel is an intimate hotel, ideal for a short stay of golf and calm combined with Paris or Lorraine. Club Med Opio en Provence, in the hills behind Nice, is a larger resort that welcomes the whole family. Golfers can also browse our all-inclusive golf trips.
