The “Escapade à Bali” getaway at a glance

The Escapade à Bali (Bali Getaway) is a 5-day, 4-night tour of the island in Indonesia, by private air-conditioned vehicle with a driver and a French-speaking local guide, starting and ending in Denpasar or Nusa Dua. You first follow the west coast to the temple of Tanah Lot, set on its islet, then pass through the fishing port of Perancak to reach Pemuteran, in the north. On day three, the road climbs through the Bedugul highlands and the Pura Ulun Danu temple, on its lake, before Ubud, where you visit the market and the royal tombs of Gunung Kawi. What is the day-by-day itinerary of the Escapade à Bali?

On day one, you leave Nusa Dua for Pekutatan, 90 km away, stopping at the temple of Tanah Lot, built on an islet on the edge of the Indian Ocean. On day two, you see the colourful fishing boats of the port of Perancak, then drive 95 km to Pemuteran. On day three, 120 km take you to Ubud via Bedugul and the Pura Ulun Danu temple. Day four is spent in Ubud, with the market, the royal tombs of Gunung Kawi and a free afternoon. On day five, 45 km bring you back to Denpasar or Nusa Dua.

What are the highlights of this tour of Bali?

Tanah Lot at the water's edge opens the trip with an image that stays with you. In Perancak, brightly painted fishing boats show a Bali of fishermen, far from the busy beaches of the south. In the heart of the island, Pura Ulun Danu seems to float on its mountain lake. In Ubud, you wander through the market, then head down to Gunung Kawi, where the royal tombs are carved right into the rock.

The first night is spent at Puri Dajuma, a 4-star hotel on the west coast. In Pemuteran, you stay at Bali Taman Sari, a 3-star property, or at the Menjangan Dynasty Resort, a 5-star hotel. When is the best time to visit Bali?

Bali is warm all year. The dry season, roughly from April to October, is the most popular for road trips and visits. From November to March, showers are more frequent, often brief, and the rice fields are an intense green. The published programme is for winter 2026: your advisor tells you which departures are offered on your dates.

How do you get to Bali from Quebec?

You leave from Montreal with a connection, then land in Denpasar, Bali's airport. International flights are added to the getaway, and your advisor books them together with the rest of the trip.
