What is the day-by-day itinerary of the Escapade au Sri Lanka?

On day one, your driver and guide meet you at Colombo airport and take you to Galle, whose fort and colonial architecture you explore on foot. On day two, the road heads toward the mountains with a stop at the Elephant Transit Home in Udawalawe, which cares for young elephants before their return to the wild, then climbs to Haputale. Day three is train day: from Haputale to Nanu Oya, the line winds through the tea plantations, where pickers in colourful clothing work up to 1,900 m above sea level. You then pass through Nuwara Eliya before reaching Kandy. Day four starts with a free morning, then you visit the botanical garden and the Temple of the Tooth. On day five, after a free morning, the road takes you back to Colombo airport.

Which hotels do you stay in?

Two categories are offered. In Comfort, you stay at the Insight Ahangama, on the south coast, then at the Radisson Kandy. In Superior Comfort, you stay at the Radisson Blu Resort in Galle and Amaya Hills in Kandy, in the hills. In both cases, the night in Haputale is spent at the Melheim Resort, facing the mountains.
