Yes. In early November 2025, Club Med announced it was selling the Ixtapa Pacific property after more than 40 years, and its official page lists the resort as closed. It can no longer be booked. Your advisor suggests the Club Med resort closest to what you loved in Ixtapa.
Club Med cites changing travel trends, its environmental priorities and demand for certain destinations. The company is focusing its investment on other resorts, including Cancún in Mexico. The buyer's name and the site's future use have not been made public.

Columbus Isle appeals mostly to couples drawn to sailing and diving, and La Caravelle to families who want a long beach and a French-speaking atmosphere.
