To enjoy the slopes while a little one is looked after, choose a French Alps resort such as Alpe d'Huez, La Rosière or Valmorel, which offer Baby Club Med.
Switzerland uses the Swiss franc, not the euro. At the resort, the essentials are included in the package, but the tourist tax, shopping in town, excursions and some extras are paid on site. A credit card with no foreign exchange fees comes in handy. Your advisor reminds you before departure what will remain to be paid in Swiss francs so you can plan your budget.
Yes. A tourist tax applies to each guest over 11, for each night, and it is paid directly at the resort rather than in the package. The amount, in Swiss francs, is set locally and can change from season to season. Your advisor tells you about it when you book, so you know in advance what will remain to be paid on site.
Yes, and it is often the most beautiful way to arrive. St. Moritz station is about five kilometres from the resort, roughly ten minutes by road, and the line climbing to it crosses the snowy valleys of the Upper Engadine. From Zurich airport, the full journey takes about three hours. Your advisor checks connections for your dates and tells you whether the train works with your gear.
The package includes the lift pass and group ski lessons, and the Upper Engadine offers about 240 kilometres of cross-country trails around the lakes and through the forests. Access conditions for cross-country trails and instruction vary from season to season: your advisor confirms what is included for your dates. It is one of the best regions in the Alps for the sport.
Yes, twice: St. Moritz hosted the Winter Olympic Games in 1928 and 1948. It is one of the resorts that launched winter tourism in the Alps, and it keeps unique traditions, including horse racing on the frozen lake in February. That history explains much of its prestige, which the Club Med resort lets you enjoy with the simplicity of the all-inclusive formula.
The resort has 306 rooms, making it a mid-sized property by Club Med standards and more intimate than the large French resorts. It is rated four Tridents and holds Green Globe environmental certification. That size also explains why the best weeks, such as the holidays and February, fill up fast: spots are limited and the season lasts just over three months.
The resort closes on March 27, 2027, the day before Easter, which falls on March 28 that year. Families who want to ski at Easter should choose a higher resort that stays open longer, such as Tignes, Val Thorens Sensations or Val d'Isère, all open until early May. Yes. The resort has covered parking with about 80 spaces and a few charging stations for electric cars. Clearance is limited, which matters for a vehicle with a roof box. For most of our clients arriving by plane, a car is unnecessary: transfers are booked with the package and the station is ten minutes away.
As early as possible, ideally by the end of summer. The season is short, the resort has a limited number of rooms, and the holiday and February weeks go first. Club Med launches its early booking offers in late August for the following winter. Your advisor watches these offers and lets you know when they apply to St. Moritz, so you do not have to track promotions yourself.
