How do you get to Peisey-Vallandry from Quebec?

The train is the simplest option: Landry station is 15 minutes from the resort, and Bourg-Saint-Maurice 30 minutes. By air, Chambéry airport is 1 hour 40 minutes away, Grenoble 2 hours 20 minutes, Lyon 2 hours 30 minutes and Geneva 3 hours. What is the atmosphere like at the resort?

It is a mountain lodge in wood and stone, more intimate than the large recent resorts. You come in through a reception built around a big fireplace, and you climb to the fully redesigned La Vanoise restaurant by a grand carved-wood staircase. The resort has 319 rooms. How good is the skiing from Peisey-Vallandry?

The resort is ideally placed to explore Paradiski, which links Les Arcs and La Plagne for a total of 425 km of runs. More than 70% of the Les Arcs runs sit above 2,000 metres, and strong skiers ride up to the Aiguille Rouge for the long descent towards the hamlets. The Vanoise Express takes you from one resort town to the other in a few minutes, high above the valley.

Is the resort good for beginners?

Yes. Group ski and snowboard lessons are included for adults and children from age 4, and the forest runs around Vallandry are pleasant for progressing, especially on grey days. From the resort, at 1,600 metres, a few lifts take you up to the big high-altitude sectors. Equipment rental costs extra, and your advisor can book it ahead.

Is Club Med Peisey-Vallandry good for families?

Yes, and the clubs welcome children from age 2. Petit Club Med welcomes ages 2 and 3, at extra cost, then Mini Club Med takes over from 4 to 10, Club Med Teens from 11 to 13 and the Chill Pass from 14 to 17, included in the package. For babies under 2, Les Arcs Panorama and La Rosière offer Baby Club Med from 4 months.

What is there to do in Peisey-Vallandry besides skiing?

The indoor-outdoor pool is the families' favourite spot: you swim in warm water while watching the snow fall. The Sothys Spa, at extra cost, and its hammam round off the day. On foot, the Holy Trinity church and its bell tower, the tallest in the Tarentaise, are close by, and the Notre-Dame-des-Vernettes sanctuary, perched at 1,816 metres, is a 45-minute walk away.

What is the food like at Club Med Peisey-Vallandry?

Meals are included, from breakfast to dinner, at La Vanoise restaurant, with an unlimited bar and snacking formula. In the evening, La Pierra Menta offers a more refined experience in a setting that is both elegant and authentic. Drinks served by the glass, including wine and cocktails, are part of the package.
