Club Med Magna Marbella at a glance

Club Med Magna Marbella is a Premium all-inclusive resort set on a 12-hectare estate overlooking Marbella, in Andalusia, on the Costa del Sol. Its terraced gardens slope toward the Mediterranean at the foot of the Sierra Blanca, 40 minutes from Málaga airport. Its great strengths: golf, with a practice range open to guests and included group lessons, padel and tennis, and kids' clubs from 4 months. The resort is open from February to November; the 2027 season runs from February 6 to November 19. The package includes accommodation, meals, the bar, supervised sports activities and clubs for ages 4 to 17.

When is Club Med Magna Marbella open?

The resort welcomes guests from February to November. This fall, it stays open until November 1, then from November 6 to 20, 2026. It then takes its winter break and reopens on February 6, 2027 for a long season ending on November 19. Quebec spring break, in early March, and Easter, on March 28, 2027, therefore fall in the middle of the season: Andalusia is green and the days are mild enough to golf in a light sweater. May, June and September are the favourite months of golfers and couples.

Where is the resort and how do you get there from Quebec?

The resort sits on the heights of Marbella, in the Trapiche area, with the sea on one side and the Sierra Blanca on the other. Málaga Costa del Sol airport is 53 km away, about 40 minutes by road. You leave from Montreal or Quebec City, with or without a connection depending on the season, and your advisor books the flights and transfer with the package. Estepona is 25 minutes away, Torremolinos 35 minutes and Ronda 1 hour 10 minutes.

What is the resort on the heights of Marbella like?

It is a large resort with 485 rooms, built in terraces across 12 hectares of gardens, with a view that reaches far over the Mediterranean. In the morning, the sun rises over the sea as the first padel balls are served. The Zen pool, reserved for adults, offers a quiet corner, while children play in the water play area. The resort is Green Globe certified and draws most of its electricity from renewable sources. It is designed for families, active couples and racquet lovers.

How big a role do golf and padel play?

Golf is at the heart of the stay. The resort's practice range is open to guests, and group golf lessons are included in the package, whether you are starting out or want to fix your swing. To play the great courses of the Costa del Sol, packages of 3 or 5 green fees are available at extra cost, as are intensive clinics. Padel, hugely popular in Spain, is played here with included group lessons, and a padel academy is offered at extra cost. Tennis rounds out the offer, with included lessons and optional clinics.

What is the food like at Magna Marbella?

The main restaurant, Sueños, serves a large buffet with Mediterranean flavours and Andalusian products in the spotlight: ham, olive oil, grilled fish. Tierra Gourmet Lounge offers a more intimate setting for dinners for two. Three bars punctuate the day, including the one at the Zen pool, reserved for adults. Meals and drinks served at the bar are included.

Which room should you choose at Club Med Magna Marbella?

The Superior category includes eleven room types, with views of the sea, the Sierra Blanca or the town: this is where most couples and families stay. Deluxe rooms offer more space and comfort, and the suites suit families who want a separate living room. If a Mediterranean view matters to you, tell your advisor when you book: they will request it for you.

What can you visit in Andalusia from the resort?

The excursions offered at extra cost open up all of Andalusia: Ronda and its bridge suspended above the gorge, the Caminito del Rey clinging to the cliffs, the Alhambra in Granada, Córdoba, Gibraltar and its monkeys, the white village of Mijas, Málaga and Marbella's old town. For a lighter day, you can sail by catamaran along the Costa del Sol or go river trekking in the Guadalmina. Many of our clients add a few days in Seville or Granada before or after their stay: see our ideas for travel to Spain.

Magna Marbella or Da Balaia: which one to choose?

The two resorts share a similar climate and family spirit. Magna Marbella focuses on golf, padel and easy access to the great Andalusian cities. Club Med Da Balaia, in the Algarve, leans more toward the beach and the Atlantic cliffs. Golfers often choose Marbella; for more ideas, see our all-inclusive golf trips.
