The “Joyaux des Seychelles” tour at a glance

Joyaux des Seychelles (Jewels of the Seychelles) is an 8-day, 7-night Club Med Discovery tour, in the Nature Escape theme, linking three islands of the archipelago: Praslin, La Digue and Mahé. You arrive in Mahé and take the ferry to Praslin, where you visit the Vallée de Mai, the forest of the coco de mer, and Anse Lazio beach. A day by catamaran then takes you snorkelling at Saint-Pierre islet and to the giant tortoises of Curieuse, before La Digue, which you explore by bicycle all the way to Anse Source d'Argent. The tour ends on Mahé, between Victoria, the gardens and the tea and spice plantations. You stay in three hotels, two 4-star and one 5-star. How does the Joyaux des Seychelles tour unfold on Praslin and La Digue?

On day one, you are welcomed at Mahé airport and taken to the ferry: an hour at sea, and you are on Praslin. On day two, you tour the island, with the Vallée de Mai in the morning and Anse Lazio beach for a swim. On day three, a catamaran takes you snorkelling around Saint-Pierre islet, then to Curieuse, home of the giant tortoises, before dropping you on La Digue. On day four, you discover Anse Fourmis and Grand Anse. On day five, you hop on bicycles for the La Veuve reserve, the L'Union Estate and Anse Source d'Argent.

What do you do on Mahé at the end of the tour?

On day six, you take the ferry back to Mahé by way of Praslin. In the afternoon, you discover Victoria, one of the smallest capitals in the world, its botanical garden and Cap Lazare. Day seven climbs into the island's heights: you stop at Mission Lodge, a lookout over the coast, then at the Tea Tavern, among the tea plantations, and at the Jardin du Roi, where cinnamon, vanilla and other spices grow. On day eight, after breakfast, time is free until the end of the tour.

What are the highlights of the tour?

The Vallée de Mai is a moment of its own: a primeval forest where the coco de mer grows, the largest seed in the plant world, under palm fronds so large they filter the light. The catamaran day takes you from mask and snorkel to the giant tortoises of Curieuse, which you approach calmly on the beach. On La Digue, the bike day is the most anticipated: you ride at an easy pace, look out in the La Veuve reserve for the rare paradise flycatcher, then finish at the pink granite boulders of Anse Source d'Argent. Everything happens at the island's pace, where the bicycle remains the locals' favourite way to get around.

Which hotels do you stay in on the three islands?

On Praslin, the first two nights are at Le Paradise Sun, a 4-star hotel on Anse Volbert beach. On La Digue, you spend three nights at Le Domaine de l'Orangeraie, a 4-star property. The last two nights, on Mahé, are at STORY Seychelles, a 5-star hotel in Beau Vallon. Each stop lasts at least two nights, leaving time to settle in and enjoy the beach at the end of the day.

What is included and what is paid on site?

The package includes the ferries from Mahé to Praslin and from La Digue to Mahé, the catamaran excursion on day three, transfers and travel by air-conditioned vehicle, full board with one local drink per meal plus tea or coffee, the visits on the programme, the French-speaking local tour guide, luggage handling and local taxes. International flights, extra drinks, personal expenses, tips and optional insurance are additional. When is the best time to visit the Seychelles?

The Seychelles are warm all year, with pleasant sea temperatures in every season. April to May and October to November, between two wind patterns, are known for a sea that is often calmer and very clear water, ideal for snorkelling. The rest of the year, the trade winds cool the air and the days stay beautiful. The published programme is for winter 2026: your advisor tells you which departures are offered on your dates.

How do you get to the Seychelles from Quebec?

You leave from Montreal with a connection, then land at Mahé international airport, where the tour begins. International flights are booked separately from the package, and your advisor reserves them together with the tour so your arrival lines up with the ferry to Praslin. Your Canadian passport must be valid for the whole stay, and your advisor checks the entry requirements at the time of booking.

Can you extend your trip at Club Med Seychelles?

Yes, and it is a lovely way to finish. Club Med Seychelles is the only resort on Sainte Anne Island, in a marine national park, about 30 minutes from Mahé airport. After eight days of island hopping, you unpack for a week of beach and relaxation.
