Celebrity Beyond is the third Edge-class ship, but it was stretched compared with Celebrity Edge and Celebrity Apex: an extra deck, a much larger Retreat area, a two-storey Sunset Bar and an expanded Rooftop Garden. It also added Le Voyage by Daniel Boulud, a restaurant that does not exist on the first two ships in the class.
140,600 gross tons, 3,260 guests at double occupancy and roughly 3,950 at full capacity, across about 1,650 staterooms. It is a large ship, but it is broken into smaller rooms — Eden, the Rooftop Garden, the Sunset Bar — rather than one huge central atrium. The result: you rarely feel crowded, except at the Oceanview Café buffet in the morning and at the tenders on anchor days.
Most balcony staterooms on Celebrity Beyond are Infinite Verandas: the window lowers and the veranda becomes part of the room, which delivers about 23% more interior space. No. Gratuities are not included in the Celebrity Beyond fare, even with the All Included option — since 2023 that package covers beverage gratuities only. A daily per-person amount is charged to your onboard account, higher in suites and in The Retreat. You can prepay at booking, which we recommend so there is no surprise at the end of the cruise.
It depends on how much you drink. The Classic package, included with the All Included option, covers most cocktails, wines by the glass and beers served on Celebrity Beyond, including at the Sunset Bar and the Magic Carpet. The Premium package opens up fine wines and top-shelf spirits. Two or three drinks a day is usually enough to break even; specialty coffees count too.
