She carries IMO number 9808986 and has 19 decks, numbered 4 to 20, with deck 14 omitted. Her tonnage exceeds the Disney Destiny's by more than 60,000 even though she is barely longer. The 48 m beam figures seen elsewhere come from AIS data rather than the shipyard.
No, and this is the costliest error made about this ship. The figure of roughly 6,700 guests is a maximum capacity with every berth filled, and Disney publishes no double occupancy for the Disney Adventure. An Australian cruise outlet presented 6,700 as double occupancy, and the number has been copied ever since. Without a published double occupancy, any guest-density calculation or comparison with another ship is unverifiable, and we would rather say so than invent a number.
She is the only Global-class ship and the only one built around themed neighbourhoods: Disney Imagination Garden, Town Square, San Fransokyo Street, Marvel Landing, Wayfinder Bay, Disney Discovery Reef and Toy Story Place. She carries Ironcycle Test Run, presented by Disney as the longest roller coaster at sea, which no other ship in the fleet offers. Her sailings stay entirely at sea, with no ports of call at all. Her hull also has a unique history, begun in 2018 at MV Werften as Global Dream.
She operates year-round from Singapore, at the Marina Bay Cruise Centre, on three- and four-night sailings entirely at sea. The ship calls nowhere: no Disney Castaway Cay, pronounced "key", no Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, and no Asian port. She entered service on 10 March 2026, after a postponement from 15 December 2025 caused by shipyard delays. Writing 2025 as her entry into service is the most widespread error about this ship.
On 10 February 2026 Disney confirmed she stays in Singapore for summer 2027, with three- and four-night all-at-sea sailings from January through August. From Montréal, Singapore requires at least one connection, roughly twenty hours door to door, and a twelve-hour time difference. Buy the flight with at least two hotel nights before embarkation, or the first of three cruise nights goes to recovery. Beyond September 2027, Disney has announced nothing.
Staterooms occupy nine decks, 9 through 16 minus 14, and two categories need a serious warning. Deluxe Garden View with Verandah and Deluxe Reef View with Verandah look onto interior spaces, the Disney Imagination Garden and Disney Discovery Reef, never onto the ocean, and the word verandah misleads a great many people. To see the sea you need a Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah or a Standard Oceanview. Standard Inside staterooms suit tight budgets, bearing in mind they have showers only and no bathtub, which complicates bathing toddlers.
For dining there is Gramma Tala's Kitchen, Mike & Sulley's Flavors of Asia, Enchanted Summer, Taverna Portorosso, Mowgli's Eatery, Alley Cat Café, Bewitching Boba and Brews and, for adults, Palo Trattoria. Marvel Landing gathers Ironcycle Test Run, Pym Quantum Racers, Groot Galaxy Spin and the Big Hero Arcade, while Toy Story Place holds Woody and Jessie's Wild Slides. The Walt Disney Theatre stages Disney Seas the Adventure, Remember and Avengers Assemble!, and Baymax Cinemas has four screens. The Spellbound bar rounds out the evening.
The complete absence of ports of call is the leading complaint, especially after twenty hours of flying. Staterooms are plainer than Wish-class equivalents, with less storage and less premium materials, and ceilings sit lower throughout. The outdoor promenade does not wrap fully around the ship, and Marvel Landing feels less immersive than San Fransokyo Street, as though its attractions were dropped in rather than integrated. The casual counters also slow down at peak hours.
Included are meals in the main dining rooms and buffets, room service, Walt Disney Theatre shows, Baymax Cinemas, the pools, the Marvel Landing and Toy Story Place attractions, and the youth clubs. Excluded are Palo Trattoria, alcohol, specialty coffee, the spa, Wi-Fi and gratuities. Because the ship never calls anywhere, there are no shore excursions to budget, which changes the arithmetic completely against a Caribbean itinerary. The flight and the Singapore hotel nights, on the other hand, weigh far more than on any other sailing in the fleet.
Disney Cruise Line adds a daily per-guest amount to the onboard account, shared between the dining team and the stateroom host. The amount can be adjusted or removed at Guest Services during the sailing. Palo Trattoria and drinks carry a separate service charge. On a three-night Singapore sailing the total stays modest against the airfare, but it settles in US dollars rather than Singapore dollars.
Disney Cruise Line sells no unlimited drinks package, on this ship or the other seven. Drinks are charged individually, apart from water, drip coffee, tea, milk and juice at the dispensers and with meals. Bewitching Boba and Brews sells specialty drinks, bubble tea included, which are not covered by the fare. The Spellbound bar and Palo Trattoria work the same way, item by item.
Wi-Fi is paid and sold in data packages, and it slows as the ship approaches its roughly 6,700 guests. On an all-at-sea itinerary there is no shore day to fall back on a local network, unlike a cruise with ports. The Disney Cruise Line app works free aboard for schedules, menus and family chat. Arrange an eSIM for Singapore before departure, because Canadian roaming in Asia is very expensive.
Yes for the ship, more questionable for the journey. Aboard, Edge and Vibe cover ages 11 to 13 and 14 to 17, paid care exists for the youngest, and Toy Story Place with Woody and Jessie's Wild Slides keeps small children busy. The problem sits upstream: twenty hours of flying and a twelve-hour time shift with a two-year-old, for three cruise nights, rarely adds up. This sailing suits families already based in Asia or building a two-week trip around it.
Castaway Club applies fully to the Disney Adventure and counts completed cruises, never nights. Because sailings run three or four nights, the Silver, Gold, Platinum and Pearl tiers come faster here than on seven-night itineraries. The benefit shows mainly in early booking for Palo Trattoria and the spa, with no effect on shore excursions since there are none. A guest chasing a higher tier before a European cruise can genuinely use this ship for it.
Unlikely, and her size is the reason. At 208,108 gross tons and 46.4 m of moulded beam, the Disney Adventure is the steadiest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. Seas around Singapore stay calm for much of the year, with the northeast monsoon from November to March stirring the water more. If you are sensitive, choose a midship stateroom on a lower deck, so deck 9 or 10 rather than deck 16.
