Enchanted Princess measures roughly 145,000 GT, 330 m long and 38.4 m wide, over 19 numbered decks with 15 open to guests. She carries 3,660 guests at double occupancy in 1,830 cabins, 81% with a balcony, with a crew of 1,346. Sources disagree on the exact tonnage: the ship's own Wikipedia entry says 145,281 GT, the class table on the same site says 144,650, and Princess rounds to 145,000. The gap changes nothing in practice, but if two brochures disagree, that is where it comes from.
Both dates circulate, and here is why. Fincantieri delivered her on 30 September 2020, in the middle of the global shutdown, and she sat more than a year without guests. Her first commercial voyage only sailed on 10 November 2021, and she was named on 13 December 2021 by three Explorers Club members. In practice you are boarding a hull delivered in 2020 whose clock only started running in 2021, and of the five ships covered here none has seen less service.
Like Sky Princess and Discovery Princess, she has no SeaWalk: the glass walkway and the SkyLight Bar on deck 17 gave way to the two Sky Suites on deck 18, cabins S309 and S310, with the largest terrace in the fleet looking onto the Movies Under the Stars screen. What is hers alone is "360: An Extraordinary Experience," an immersive meal in a circular room that Royal, Regal and Majestic do not offer. Her dining line-up differs too: Gigi's Pizzeria by Alfredo, O'Malley's Irish Pub and The Catch by Rudi, which arrived during the Palermo drydock in spring 2023. She keeps Crooners in the Piazza, which Sky Princess no longer has.
She spends summer and autumn 2026 in the Mediterranean with Civitavecchia, the port for Rome, as her home port: 7-day Adriatic loops plus 8-, 14- and 15-day itineraries across the western and eastern Mediterranean, running to early November. She then crosses the Atlantic to Fort Lauderdale, departing 10 November on a 24-day routing or 17 November on a 17-day one. From 3 December 2026 she is based in Fort Lauderdale on 11-day Caribbean loops. No drydock is scheduled for her in 2026.
She stays in the Caribbean out of Fort Lauderdale until 6 April 2027 on 11-day loops, then heads back to Europe from 16 April. From May to November 2027 she works the Mediterranean from three home ports depending on the departure: Civitavecchia for Rome, Trieste, and Piraeus for Athens. She returns to Fort Lauderdale on 13 November 2027 in 23 days. The thing to watch from Montréal: Rome, Venice and Athens all have nonstop service from Montréal, but only in season, broadly May to October. Boarding at Trieste or Piraeus in April or November means a European connection, and Trieste adds roughly two hours by road from Venice airport.
In the Mediterranean a balcony genuinely earns its keep, because arrivals happen early in the morning and the coastline runs past your rail. Take one midship, deck 10 Caribe or deck 11 Baja, in categories BA, BB or Deluxe Balcony D4. Premium Oceanview, an outside cabin with a window and no balcony, is the right answer for the November crossing when you will not be sitting out. For a family of five, only Sky Suites S309 and S310 on deck 18 will do. And if you want a real step up without paying suite money, the Reserve Collection Mini-Suite comes with a reserved dining room section and its own service.
Included in the fare: the main dining rooms, the World Fresh Marketplace buffet, the 24-hour International Café, Gigi's Pizzeria by Alfredo, the Slice counter, the Salty Dog Grill, O'Malley's Irish Pub and Swirls ice cream. Extra-charge: Crown Grill, Sabatini's, The Catch by Rudi, Crab Shack, Chef's Table Lumiere and "360: An Extraordinary Experience," the immersive meal in a circular room. Bars are Crooners and Bellini's in the Piazza, Good Spirits at Sea, and the Sanctuary bar on deck 17. Attractions: the two deck 18 Sky Suites, The Sanctuary, The Enclave at Lotus Spa, the Princess Theater, the Princess Live studio, Movies Under the Stars, Princess Sports Central and the Phantom Bridge escape room.
Guests hunting for the SeaWalk they saw in Royal Princess photos will not find it, and that is the most common letdown. Deck 7 is named Promenade but gives you no full outdoor lap of the ship, the walking track is up on deck 18, balconies are narrow, and the stepped aft staterooms are overlooked from the deck above. In the Mediterranean in summer, with early port arrivals and few sea days, deck 16 fills quickly on the days the ship stays under way. And on 11-day Caribbean loops in winter the crowd is older and evenings end early: this is a ship for the table and the conversation, not for nightlife.
Included: your cabin, the main dining rooms, the World Fresh Marketplace buffet, the International Café, Gigi's pizzeria, Slice, the Salty Dog Grill, O'Malley's, ice cream, Princess Theater shows, Movies Under the Stars, the pools and the gym. Extra: alcohol and specialty coffees, Wi-Fi, crew appreciation, shore excursions, valet laundry, The Sanctuary, The Enclave, plus Crown Grill, Sabatini's, The Catch by Rudi and 360. Princess folds part of that into the Princess Plus and Princess Premier bundles. On a 14-day Mediterranean loop, where shore excursions carry real weight, the trade-off differs from a Caribbean week: 1-866-628-6241.
The base fare does not cover them. A daily Crew Appreciation charge is posted to your onboard account, scaled to stateroom category, and a service percentage is added to every bar order. Both are prepaid if you book Princess Plus or Princess Premier. On the 11-day Fort Lauderdale loops and the 14-day sailings from Rome, that charge multiplies by the number of nights: have it quoted before you compare two fares, or the comparison is skewed from the start.
Princess sells two bundles rather than a standalone drink package. Princess Plus covers fifteen drinks a day under a per-drink ceiling, specialty coffees and teas, bottled water, one connected device, a few casual meals and prepaid crew appreciation. Princess Premier removes the daily count, raises the ceiling, adds four devices, unlimited specialty dining, digital photos and a reserved theatre section. On board, bar life revolves around Crooners and Bellini's in the Piazza, Good Spirits at Sea and O'Malley's. In the Mediterranean, where you often eat ashore in port, a drinks bundle pays back more slowly than it does in the Caribbean: run the numbers at 1-866-628-6241.
She was built MedallionClass from the keel up. The disc, worn on your wrist or around your neck, unlocks your door as you approach, works as your payment method with photo verification, speeds boarding, and OceanNow brings your order to wherever you are aboard. MedallionNet supports video calls and streaming, and it is chargeable if you have no bundle. The irritants: the app and the pre-cruise steps are compulsory before you travel, the disc tracks your position because that is what makes delivery possible, and mailing the Medallion to your home is chargeable while collecting it at the terminal is not. One more Mediterranean detail: Canadian mobile roaming in the European Union is expensive, and many guests end up buying shipboard Wi-Fi for that reason alone.
She is well equipped, but her itineraries are not aimed at families. The youth rooms are on deck 17, split from 3 to 7 and from 8 to 12, with an outdoor play area, video game rooms and the Remix Lounge & Disco for 13 to 17; Princess Sports Central and the Phantom Bridge escape room sit on deck 18. On a 7-day Mediterranean loop in July there will be European families aboard. On an 11-day Caribbean loop in February you can count the children on one hand, and your teenagers will be bored. The two deck 18 Sky Suites are the only cabins that sleep five.
This ship moves the counter through days. Gold arrives with your first cruise, Ruby at three cruises or thirty cruise days, Platinum at five cruises or fifty days, Elite at fifteen cruises or a hundred and fifty, and the count takes whichever measure serves you better. Three 11-day Caribbean sailings plus one 14-day Mediterranean loop puts you at Platinum on days with only four cruises in your file. Booking a suite or sailing solo earns double credit. Complimentary self-service laundry, priority embarkation and disembarkation, and a better internet allowance arrive at Platinum.
In the Mediterranean in summer, rarely: ports are close together, overnight passages are short, and the sea is generally calm from June to September. The mistral and the meltemi can raise a short, unpleasant swell in spring and autumn, particularly between Sardinia and the Balearics. The two crossings, November 2026 to Fort Lauderdale and November 2027, are the real tests, with several consecutive days of open water. Choose a midship cabin on a lower deck, deck 9 Dolphin or deck 10 Caribe, and start the tablets the day before you board.
